Return and Refund Policy

At Xinlin Auto Parts, we specialize in heavy-duty, built-to-order engine long blocks. Due to the nature of these products, our return policy is designed to be fair but firm. By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Return Window
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you must request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. However, engine long blocks are strictly non-returnable except in the specific case of verified manufacturing defects, as detailed in Section 3.

2. Non-Returnable Items & Buyer's Remorse
The following are explicitly not eligible for return or refund:

  • Engine long blocks ordered incorrectly by the customer (including wrong model, fitment, or specification).

  • Engines that have been installed, attempted to be installed, disassembled, or modified.

  • Parts damaged due to improper installation, abuse, negligence, or use of incorrect fluids/supporting components.

  • Any item not in its original condition: the original factory crate and all internal packaging must be fully intact and unopened. Once the crate seal is broken, the item is deemed used and non-returnable.

  • Sale items, gift cards, and custom/special orders.

3. Quality Defect Claims (The only valid reason for return)
If you believe an engine long block has a manufacturing quality defect, the following mandatory process applies:

  1. You must contact us within 30 days at info@xinlinautoparts.com, providing clear photos and videos of the fault.

  2. Professional Third-Party Verification is Required. To prevent misdiagnosis, you must submit a formal inspection report from a licensed, bonded, and independent third-party automotive machine shop or certified mechanic. This report must be issued on the repair facility's official letterhead and include a detailed diagnosis, disassembly findings, and proof that the engine was professionally tested. The inspection fee will be borne by you.

  3. Our Review: Upon receiving your claim and the inspection report, we will coordinate with our technical team and the manufacturer to verify the defect. We reserve the right to request additional evidence or a second opinion.

  4. If we confirm a fault, we will decide at our discretion whether to provide a full refund (excluding the inspection fee you paid), replace the engine, provide replacement parts, or provide a partial refund to cover repair costs. If no defect is found, the return will be denied.

4. Cancellations Before Shipment
If you cancel an order before it has been shipped, a 10% order handling and restocking fee will be charged. This covers the administrative costs and the transaction fees we incur that are not reversible.

5. Customer's Return Shipping Obligation
If a return is authorized by us for a confirmed defect, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return freight and all associated duties and taxes. The engine must be returned to our warehouse at:

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

6. Damages upon Arrival
Please inspect your crate thoroughly upon delivery, before accepting or signing. If the crate or engine shows visible shipping damage, you must note it clearly on the delivery receipt, refuse the delivery if the damage is severe, and contact us immediately. For concealed damage discovered after the crate is opened, you must report it to us within 2 business days with supporting photos. We will file a claim with the shipping carrier on your behalf. Failure to follow this process will result in a denied claim.

7. Refund Process
Once your authorized return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please allow additional time for your bank or card issuer to post the credit.

8. Chargeback Clause
By completing a purchase, you agree to resolve any issue through our internal processes and the instructions in this policy. You agree not to initiate a payment dispute or chargeback with your credit card company as a first resort to circumvent our return policy. The filing of a chargeback while goods are in your possession and our return policy has not been followed will be considered theft of property and will be contested with all provided evidence. In such an event, you will be immediately liable for the full retail value of the retained goods and any associated legal or collection costs we incur.

9. European Union Exceptions
Notwithstanding the above, if your order is being shipped to the European Union, you may have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period. This right is automatically waived if the engine crate is opened or if installation is attempted, as engines are considered sealed goods with health and hygiene protection concerns that are not suitable for return once unsealed.
